WHO WE ARE:

Bridging the World is our missions ministry here at Calvary Old Bridge.

Our goal is to be a part of and support those who are fulfilling the Great Commission as well as instill that heart, vision, and excitement to the next generation.

OUR MISSION:

WHAT WE BELIEVE:

We believe that Jesus is the bridge that connects us and our missionaries to a world that is in desperate need for the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Whether thousands of miles away or here in the United States, it is our desire to share the love of Jesus by EXALTING the Lord, EQUIPPING each believer, and ENGAGING the culture around us with the Gospel.

“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few…” Matthew 9:37

Every believer has a role in the Great Commission. The question isn’t if we are supposed to be involved in missions—but how.

We believe is is our responsibility to help our fellowship, especially the next generation of believers, see what Jesus is doing both locally and around the world. We also seek to present tangible ways they can participate.

We can do that by encouraging the church body to do these things:

  • Expose – Learn about the work God is doing in missions, both near and far. Take time to meet and hear from missionaries who visit our church throughout the year.

  • Mobilize – Share what you’ve learned with others. Inspire your friends and family to care about missions. Encourage them to get involved or even go themselves.

  • Pray – Commit to praying for our missionaries, church plants, and the global harvest. Lift up persecuted believers around the world who suffer for their faith.

  • Send – Support missionaries and mission teams through financial giving, practical help, and encouragement as they serve on the front lines.

  • Go – Be open to stepping out yourself. Consider joining a short-term trip, and prayerfully ask whether God may be calling you to serve long-term.
