On September 5-15th our Calvary Young Adults Ministry sent a team of 16 people to Trujillo, Peru! The team had the opportunity to partner with Pastor Cory Kilgus and Calvary Chapel Trujillo.
During their time in Peru the group went evangelizing in a local town, did a VBS amongst kids who lived in a garbage dump, and they were able to join Calvary Bible Institute Peru in serving at the South America Missions Conference. The team's days were filled with cleaning, painting, and cooking for all those at CC Trujillo.
Hundreds of pastors and leaders from 11 different countries around the world attended! It was a beautiful time of fellowship and teaching that allowed them to return to their churches encouraged and filled with the Holy Spirit. Worship was especially beautiful listening to countries all across South America worship as one nation with one voice.
Listening to this instilled our belief that the Gospel is for every tribe and every tongue and it makes us long for the day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord!
A highlight for most of the team members was getting to help out in the kitchen. While cooking for hundreds of people may have seemed daunting, the CBI students and other staff did it all with a joyful heart!
