Remembering All That we Have to be Grateful For
We at Bridging the World Missions want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for this year, one of them being YOU! We are so grateful that you are one of our partners in ministry. Whether it is by going on a trip, contributing financially, or by praying for us. You are actively contributing to this ministry and for that we are so grateful!
As we reflect on the word GRATITUDE, there is one moment that sticks out to us from this year: On the second day of our trip to Trujillo, Peru our team had the opportunity to do a Vacation Bible School in a village called El Milagro. It is without exaggeration to say that these people live in a garbage dump. People actually dump their garbage there.
This was a very eye opening experience for the team. The kids live amongst filth yet they are some of the happiest kids you will ever meet. They danced enthusiastically to the worship songs, they laughed as we played games, and at the end they all prayed to receive Jesus!
It made us think about how comfortable our own lives are, yet we so often find ourselves complaining about minor inconveniences. During this time of Thanksgiving we strongly encourage you to thank the Lord for the many blessings that you have. We also want to encourage you to pray for the missionaries who sacrifice much to reach others with the Gospel.
Thank you again for partnering with us! We are looking forward to all that the Lord has in store!
“Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, And the great King above all gods.” Psalm 95:2-3
