We would like to wish you and your family a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! We hope that throughout the busyness of this season that you do not forget what this time of year is truly all about: The HOPE that we have because of what Christ has done for us!
Not just today, but over 2,000 years ago at this time when God sent His only son down to earth to give us the most precious gift we could ever receive: SALVATION! We believe that Jesus came down to earth all those years ago in the form of a baby, in a town called Bethlehem. He was born in a barn because there was no room in the inn. His mother wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger.
The Son of God could have come in triumph and glory, but instead chose to come in one of the humblest of ways. Over thirty years later Jesus would take on the sins of the world and die a brutal, criminals’ death. Three days later he miraculously rose from the grave, conquering sin and death forever. He made the ultimate sacrifice for us. Because of what He has done, we will be with Him in heaven for all of eternity.
The hope that we have is not in ourselves. We have hope because we know that this world is not our home. We are simply just passing through. In an instant we will be in glory.
This Christmas, we want to encourage you to look for opportunities to share this hope with others. Whether you volunteer at a local outreach, serve at a Christmas drive, or share the Gospel through a simple conversation or tract, you are participating in God’s mission to make His name known among the nations.
May the hope of the Lord shine in and through you this holiday season!
